It is official!! We ARE now operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week on station with 2 providers at ALL times. A lot of work has went into this and it wouldn't be possible without the support of our entire district. 

All 9-1-1 calls are covered from the Alger station.

Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District

The District is made up of 31 members, with 29 active members. We have 2 members on honorary status, 2 members that reside in the South part of the district, 8 members that reside in the North part of the district, and 18 members that reside outside of the district. 

• Chief Aunee Helton has served on the department since 2007 and is an Advanced EMT, Firefighter Level 1, CPR Instructor, and CEU Instructor
• Alicia Roberts has served on the department since 2010 and is an EMT. Alicia serves as a part-time provider
• Retired Chief Doug LaRue has served on the department since 1993 and is an Advanced EMT, CPR Instructor, and CEU Instructor. Doug is one of our part-time providers
  
• Robin LaRue has served on the department since 1993 and is an EMT. Robin serves as a part-time provider
• Curtis Engelhardt is the longest-running EMT, as he joined the department when it was first created in 1974 and became an Honorary Member in 2022
• Robert Rushing has served on the department since 1998 and is a Paramedic, and became an Honorary Member in 2023
• Jackie Gibson has served on the department intermittently since 2010 and is an EMT. Jackie made the move to full-time on January 2, 2024, and works C-Shift for our ambulance district
• Jason Helton has served on the department since 2020 and holds the positions of EMT and Firefighter Level 1. Jason serves as a part-time provider
• Ashlie Goodin has served on the department since 2020 and is an EMT. Ashlie serves as a part-time provider and is our departmental treasurer
• David Rose has served on the department since 2021 and is an EMT
• Janet Conrad has served on the department since 2002 and is an EMT
• Elizabeth Sherman has served on the department since 2021 and is an EMT. Elizabeth serves as a part-time provider and is our departmental treasurer
• Shelby Nelson has served on the department since 2021 and is a Driver for EMS
• Scott Boecker serves as one of our part-time providers. He joined the department on May 29, 2024. Scott is a Paramedic
• Logan Friesner serves as one of our part-time providers. He joined the department on May 28, 2024. Logan is a Basic EMT and a Level 2 Firefighter, a CEU Instructor, and a CPR Instructor
• Maria Ross serves as one of our full-time providers. She joined the department on May 27, 2024. Maria is a Basic EMT working A-Shift for our ambulance district
• Jeffrey Liston serves as one of our full-time providers. He joined the department on May 20, 2024. Jeff is a Basic EMT working A-Shift for our ambulance district
• Justin Roberts has returned as one of our part-time providers in June 2024. Justin is a Level 2 Firefighter, Paramedic, CEU Instructor, and Fire Safety Inspector
• Abigail Furer serves as one of our part-time providers. Abigail is a Basic EMT hired in September 2024
• Chuck Howell serves as one of our part-time providers. Chuck is an Advanced EMT hired in September 2024
• Jody Barto serves as one of our part-time providers. Jody is a Paramedic hired in September 2024
• Noah Harris serves as one of our full-time providers. Noah is a Basic EMT hired in October 2024, working C-Shift for our ambulance district. Noah is in school for his Advanced EMT
• Brandi Weber serves as one of our part-time providers. Brandi is a Basic EMT who is finishing her Advanced EMT certification. Brandi was hired in November 2024
• Andrew Inamdar serves as one of our part-time providers. Andrew is a Basic EMT hired in March of 2025
• Heather Heilman serves as one of our part-time providers. Heather is a Basic EMT hired in March of 2025
• Lori Jackson serves as one of our full-time providers. Lori is a Basic EMT hired in March of 2025, and covers B-Shift
• Mallory Osenbaugh serves as one of our part-time providers. Mallory is a Basic EMT, hired in April of 2025
• James Collins serves as one of our full-time providers. James is a Paramedic/FF hired in May of 2025, and covers B-Shift
• Abby Prater serves as one of our part-time providers. Abby is a Basic EMT hired in June of 2025
• Thomas Newland serves as one of our part-time providers in training. Thomas is a Basic EMT/36hr FF. He was hired in October of 2025
• Jessica Dunifon serves as one of our part-time providers in training. Jessica is a Basic EMT and was hired in October of 2025
