Public Update: Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District Building Project

We're pleased to share an update on the progress of the Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District's new station. While the process has been lengthy due to necessary laws and regulations, we remain committed to moving forward with care and transparency.

On November 5th, the district will officially close on the lease for the new building — a major milestone in our journey. Funding for this project is being responsibly sourced through solar and wind energy funds, while our tax levy continues to support full-time staffing and operational needs.

The next phase begins on November 11th, when the bidding process opens. We anticipate selecting a contractor by early December. This transition marks the end of Phase One: Design, and the beginning of Phase Two: Bidding. The final step will be Phase Three: Construction, bringing our vision to life.

This new station will be transformative for our district. It will reduce response times by up to 8 minutes in our southernmost areas, while adding no more than 4 minutes in the northernmost parts — a strategic improvement that enhances service for all.

We know many in our community share our excitement, and we're deeply grateful for your continued support. This project wouldn't be possible without the encouragement and backing of those who believe in our mission. Thank you for standing with us.
